About me
My path into Massage Therapy and Reiki began after receiving a number of treatments myself over the years. Experiencing the profound benefits of true relaxation — of stepping out of my busy mind and back into my body — opened my eyes to how much I had been caught up in the small stresses of life. I used to overthink everything, worrying about how I looked, how I was perceived, and whether I was living up to others’ expectations.

When I realised how disconnected and unfulfilled that left me, I decided to take a year out and travelled to Australia — the place where my healing journey truly began. From there, I moved to New Zealand, where I’ve spent the past 14 years immersed in a journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth.

Our emotions live within the body — have you ever noticed how anger tenses the shoulders, how worry knots the stomach, or how frustration tightens the jaw? I learned this firsthand when faced with my own health challenge. It was a powerful wake-up call that invited me to look deeply at how I was treating myself — the way I spoke to myself, the stories I told myself, and the care I gave (or didn’t give) to my own wellbeing.

Massage, Reiki, and Hypnotherapy became essential parts of my healing process.
They supported me in releasing what no longer served me, taught me how to surrender into stillness, and helped me create space for more peace, acceptance, and love.
The transformations I experienced inspired me to train in all three — so I could share these gentle yet powerful tools with others.

Through my personal journey and professional training, I’ve learned the importance of nurturing both mind and body in equal measure. I no longer seek acceptance from others, because I’ve learned to accept myself — as I am, where I am, in each moment.
I’ve discovered the value of kindness, forgiveness, and compassion towards myself. After all, the one person you journey through every moment of life with is you. It’s so important to speak gently to yourself, care for yourself, and fill your own cup — because when you do, you can give more fully to those you love.
I truly practice what I share. I receive regular massage and Reiki treatments — not just when I feel off balance, but as a way of maintaining harmony and wellbeing. These practices continue to support me mentally, emotionally, and physically in the most beautiful and gentle way.

After many years away, I have recently returned home to Barnard Castle, and I feel deeply grateful to now be offering these healing practices here — supporting others on their own journey toward peace, balance, and self-connection.
